Shannon Weidekamp is an accomplished aviation executive, entrepreneur, and international industry advocate who serves as CEO of Equus Flight Academy and Unbridled Air. Her career spans aviation operations, safety, education, business development, and executive leadership, with a strong commitment to advancing aviation and aerospace education both nationally and internationally.

Shannon began her aviation career as a corporate flight attendant and later served as Chair of the National Business Aviation Association’s Flight Attendant/Flight Technician Committee, where she contributed to safety education and human factors initiatives. Her commitment to aviation safety also led her to develop the first Flight Attendant Upset Training Program at Flight Research in Mojave, California.

She has also served on the ASTM International F46 Aerospace Personnel Committee, contributing to the development of industry standards and best practices for corporate aviation flight attendants.

Shannon’s entrepreneurial achievements include the acquisition and leadership of both Equus Flight Academy and Unbridled Air, a Part 135 air carrier. In 2024, she was appointed U.S. Delegate to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) Education Commission, representing the United States and supporting international efforts to advance aviation and aerospace education, awareness, and engagement.
